Chapter 189: What did you just call me? (m)
Kellen was nervous. He knew that he’d offered, but that didn’t make it easier on him. Yes, he’d done this before, but for some reason it felt like a bigger deal now. As he glanced up at Rhys from where he was between his legs on his knees, Kellen’s heart was racing in his chest.
Rhys was staring down at him, his eyes golden bright and his expression hard to read. The door behind Kellen was still open, letting in the light from the room down below. Even with the bedside lamp on, the Captain’s features were shadowed, giving him an unreadable expression from Kellen’s point of view. Kellen licked his lips, nervous.
"You don’t have to if you don’t want to." Rhys offered, and Kellen shook his head. No. He had to do this. He needed to. He had to redeem himself from his earlier display, and prove to the Captain that he could take control too.
So far it really did feel like the Captain had taken the reins when it came to their relationship. Kellen couldn’t argue with it either. Kellen hadn’t even known about his own feelings so of course he understood why it was that way. Add in Kellen’s inexperience, it had made sense that the Captain had taken control.
But that didn’t mean that Kellen had to like it anymore, or let it continue to happen.
Rhys had been putting in the work so that Kellen knew that he wanted him. He knew that the Captain had feelings for him, and that he wanted to lick Kellen from head to toe. Maybe he didn’t use those words exactly, but the Captain hadn’t been shy about proving that Kellen mattered to him.
Kellen wanted Rhys to understand the same thing. He wanted Rhys to know that Kellen desired him, and wanted him. That he was cared for in the same way. So, here Kellen was.
On his knees.
Shifting awkwardly, his heart a pounding beat beneath his skin, Kellen was about to lean forward to pull the Captain’s pants and underwear down when Rhys burst into laughter.
