Chapter 96: Crazy, not insane
Casper was the first to offer up a few suggestions as Kellen and Brent tried not to get overwhelmed at the amount of Guides who wanted to become like them.
The first thing he suggested was for Kellen and Brent to only take the first twenty Guides who had applied for the program. Kellen, who had been thinking the same thing, relaxed as soon as someone with more experience confirmed his thoughts.
Casper then offered that they should host their first class, their first lesson somewhere fun. Kellen, who had been thinking of using the obstacle room as their first location, was pleased that Casper was thinking along the same lines as him.
After that, Casper told them that they had done a fantastic job, gave them both a pat on the back, and headed back to the Guiding Division. Kellen, who knew he needed to speak to Casper, but couldn’t remember why he needed to speak to Casper, went to stop him for a few seconds. Casper noticed Kellen’s hesitation and paused.
"Was there anything you needed, Kellen?" He asked, and Kellen grew confused. He hummed for a second, before shrugging.
"I know there was something I was supposed to talk to you about, but it’s escaping my mind. Maybe I’ll remember later." Kellen told him. Casper’s expression relaxed, and he nodded.
"Of course. Just message me if you remember. I’m probably going to take lunch a little later, so you two go ahead without me." The two Field Guides nodded, and Casper gave them a smile and a small wave before leaving for good.
Brent, once everyone was out of the room, collapsed on one of the chairs, tilting his head back and sighing heavily.
"Fuck. There were so many people." He complained, and Kellen chuckled.
