In a majestic great hall’s room, a number of people were standing around a bed, some with familiar faces, notably the many substantial Elders of the Jade Pot Sect, including prominent figures from the Poison Vein branch like Fu Du Mo Li.

However, at this moment, neither the Great Elder Lu Zhan from the Medical Pulse branch nor the Second Elder Fu Du of the Poison Vein branch were speaking. Their eyes were fixed unwaveringly on a figure in the front.

This figure was none other than the current Sect Leader of the Jade Pot Sect, Yu Shu. But at this moment, Yu Shu’s jade-like face bore a somber expression, his hands ceaselessly moving over someone on the bed, who showed no sign of response.

The red-faced elderly man on the bed was none other than the Fourth Elder of the Jade Pot Sect, Li Shan, a pivotal figure in the sect. Regrettably, he was now lying on the bed in a desolate state, trapped in some sort of special coma.

In fact, Li Shan had been unconscious for over a month, but during this time, both Lu Zhan and Fu Du had hoped to use their Meridian Refining Technique or the Poison Vein Skill, respectively, to awaken Li Shan.

Because both Lu Zhan and Fu Du knew, Sect Leader Yu Shu was in seclusion breaking through to the Earth Rank Third Realm, a situation that must not be disturbed, perhaps an even more significant matter for the Jade Pot Sect.

Yet, human life was paramount, and after both Lu Zhan and Fu Du found themselves helpless against the poison affecting Li Shan, they reported the matter with extreme caution to Sect Leader Yu Shu, who was in seclusion.

As the head of the sect, Yu Shu did not explode with rage upon being disturbed. Instead, he promptly arrived at Li Shan’s residence. Perhaps in his heart, breaking through to the Earth Rank Third Realm was less important than Elder Li Shan’s life.

Upon arriving and investigating Li Shan’s condition, Yu Shu’s heart sank, for he had never seen such a severe poison before.
