Darcie Malfoy, in her Slytherin robes, walked out of the crowd.

Using the short stairs at the end of the levitating platform, she climbed up and took out her wand.

A distinct thunder rumble in her ears.

In the ears of others, a majestic cry echoed as if a massive bird had let out a battle cry from miles away. It lingered in the back of their minds, making them ignore it like a distant, blurry memory.

Darcie looked down, her poisonous green eyes falling on the boy looking up at her.

Harry, Ron, Draco, Neville, and hundreds of students looked at Black with pity and relief in their eyes.
