The brothers stiffened simultaneously.
“Hazel, I don’t think that’s wise,” Lucas said carefully.
“You’re still recovering,” Liam added.
“And he’s locked up for good reason,” Levi pointed out.
I looked at each of them in turn. “I want to see Leo. Right now.”
“Hazel—” Lucas began.
“I need to understand what’s happening,” I insisted. “Don’t you want to know too?”
The triplets exchanged glances again, having one of their silent conversations.
“She has a point,” Liam admitted reluctantly.
“I don’t like it,” Levi grumbled.
Lucas sighed deeply. “If we agree to this, you stay in bed. We’ll bring Leo up to the infirmary under guard.”
Hope blossomed in my chest. “So you’ll do it?”
