Chapter 3076 - 630: Platinum Star
Chapter 3076: Chapter 630: Platinum Star
As the Grand Council Chairman, whenever he wished, he could freely allocate the Aether Stones from the treasury for personal use, and no one else would interfere; thus, intellectual property rights were no longer charged.
Now, the era of civilization’s transformation had arrived.
Not only him, but the other Legendary Wizards did the same.
Several days later, the undercover Pale Monarch sent news from the other side.
The Nightmare had already summoned over two hundred Monarchs; in this invasion, they might dispatch their entire army, and even such Cosmic Treasures as the Blood and Flesh Palace would be deployed.
Levi convened a meeting and inquired with the others.
The information obtained by their spies was more or less the same as his.
He said:
"Barring unforeseen events, the upcoming battle will be our final confrontation with Nightmare, determining not only victory and defeat but also life and death. Everyone, prepare yourselves."
Emmon said:
"If Nightmare utilizes the Blood and Flesh Palace, then Mother River should also employ the Netherworld Ancestor Hall. The strengths of these two Supreme and Primordial Treasures are evenly matched; the key rests with us."
Levi replied:
"I will use the Dark Ancient Tower depending on the situation. Although this treasure cannot compare to the former two, it nonetheless counts as a Cosmic Treasure, enough to shake the Supreme and influence the tide of battle."
Emmon pondered for a moment, then said:
"If necessary, I will also unleash my true form and wield true Supreme Power, striving to join forces with Netherworld Ancestor and you to destroy that Master of Horror!"
The Frost Witch’s expression shifted slightly.
"This... you truly intend to do so?"
Levi spoke:
"Lord Emmon, are you confident? You are too important to the Nora Civilization. The enemies we face are not only Nightmare; the Abyss and the astral world also require your deterrence."
If it was trade one for one, Levi did not think it worthwhile.
He was reluctant to see Emmon leave as well.
Emmon replied:
"Rest assured, in these years I have gained some experience in controlling Supreme Power, and have stabilized at Level 11. I am quite confident I won’t lose myself."
The Heavenly Will interjected:
"That’s good. After all, Levi has yet to fully mature. Emmon, you mustn’t let anything befall you. I believe Sauron would not wish to see such a scene either."
Afterward, everyone reported the preparations of the past decade.
When the meeting adjourned, Levi returned to the Ancient Dragon Continent.
Elena was not at the Tower of Summer Flowers; after her triple advancement to level 9, she had truly devoted herself to medicine research, supporting the war effort on the logistics front together with Triss.
Yet, in her bones, she still longed for battle.
She did not wish to miss the coming great decisive battle, either.
She honed her cultivation, steadily advancing toward Nine Rings Perfection.
If all went well, she would become the only tri-path level-10 in this age.
Once the cosmic era of exploration began, Levi would be able to take Elena to other universes in search of fortune and to behold the wonders... As for the Supreme, Elena herself did not force it.
Compared to the side effects and costs of achieving the Supreme,
She felt that remaining at level-10 was a better state.
If she could truly perfect her energy and spirit, merging three paths at level-10, her power might not be much inferior to an ordinary Supreme of this universe, at the very least ensuring her own survival.
Toward the choices of his beloved family and friends, Levi had always been respectful. He would never deliberately dictate their destinies or interfere with their paths.
Ancient Banyan Fairyland.
Upon Mana’s head, the blue crow appeared morose and disconsolate,
Levi sighed helplessly and said:
"Very well, go travel."
Now that the final battle was imminent, Ayak could not be of much help in Nora, either.
"Caw, caw, caw."
Ayak instantly soared off in excitement, seeking out the blue-feathered girl, the Aurora Bird.
"What? Ayak, you’re going traveling again?"
The Aurora Bird, in truth, did not wish to leave this fairyland.
However, it also did not want to leave Ayak too lonely.
Having been together so long, it had grown unaccustomed to being without Ayak.
It looked at Levi, begging for permission.
"You go as well; look out for each other, you two,"
Levi said.
With the Aurora Bird’s help, Goddess Knight Elsa had now reached the Level 8 Peak Realm. To become level 9 next would depend on her own fortune.
For the sake of his wife, Emperor Mu had searched everywhere for resources.
Now, Elsa was a Eight Rings Perfect Wizard as well; he hoped Elsa would reach Nine Rings, then advance to level 9, and thus, their merits would be complete.
Level-10 could not be forced even with resources.
Emperor Mu knew this, and Elsa understood as well.
Now they were surrounded by many children and grandchildren, their family talents flourishing.
Nearing three thousand years, the Green Bird Knight had recently entered seclusion to strive for level 9, almost catching up with his old father, making for an already perfect life.
Levi gazed at Ayak’s vanishing silhouette.
"Perhaps our next meeting shall be at the time I become Supreme."
This prodigal child, would not return home without great benefit.
...
Forty years later.
Nora Calendar, Year 3200.
Good news came from the School of Death on the Ancient Dragon Continent.
Dean Bod had entered the Ninth-Circle Realm.
Soon after, he published two dissertations, causing a sensation in the field of Witch Demon Studies.
"On the Possibility of Legendary Lich Transformation"
"A Brief Analysis of the Significance of the Lich Symbiotic Soul Box as a Natal Soul Artifact for Wizards"
Not long after, the Supreme Council’s Legendary Wizard, Hand of Netherworld Prison, was greatly shocked and impressed by the research; he sought out Levi, desiring to meet Bod.
Emperor’s Palace.
Levi, Hand of Netherworld Prison, and Bod sat together at the round table.
Hand of Netherworld Prison inquired:
"I have read both of your articles, Lord Bod. As for the first, the theory of Legendary Lich possibility, I find it feasible. Do you intend to take Lich as your Legendary Profession?"
Bod replied:
"Indeed. If I become a Lich as my Legendary Profession, then my lifespan could reach fifty thousand years, comparable to a Mythical Giant Dragon, or even longer."
Levi said:
"An excellent idea—I believe we can establish a Witch Demon School within the School of Death, drawing in talent interested in liches so that we may research together."
Bod said:
"The greatest limitations of lichdom are, first, the exceedingly low success rate of the transformation ritual; second, after becoming a lich, though one may endlessly study knowledge and spells, one cannot continue meditating to advance spiritual force and cultivation, thus losing further potential.
Nowadays, under the research of the School of Death, with advancements in material science and other fields, the success rate of the transformation ritual has gradually increased from less than ten percent to twenty percent.
As for the issue with meditation, this was the subject of my second paper—the ’Soul Box, Natal Soul Artifact, and Primordial Soul Resonance Theory.’ In fact, I drew inspiration for this from Colin’s Primordial Soul Treasure Refining Method. If the primordial soul can promote the growth of treasures, why can’t treasures, in turn, promote the growth of the primordial soul and spiritual force?
By refining the soul box and natal soul artifact into a trinity with the soul as the medium, and seeking a resonant frequency to link the three,
After the transformation into lich, the soul box can be hidden away. Through cultivating the Soul Artifact, one can replenish spiritual force. This method may not be highly efficient, but liches have time in abundance."
After hearing Bod’s proposal, Hand of Netherworld Prison broke into a smile.
He said to Levi:
"Good! I think this is excellent! Our School of Death can first conduct experiments, giving an opportunity to those with insufficient potential or whose lifespans are at their limit to become liches instead.
If the soul box is undying and the primordial soul unscattered, the lich is immortal and can resurrect from their shell at any time. Compared to ordinary primordial soul wizards, liches have a higher survival rate in war."
Levi said:
"Very well; this project shall be called the ’Sword of the Witch King.’ We will strive to cultivate a Witch Demon Army, with Mr. Bod overseeing the operation. Request any funding as needed."
Bod was greatly delighted and expressed his gratitude:
"Many thanks to you both, seniors!"
The former Mr. Lost Heart had, at last, once again shone with brilliance.
